Policing, Protection, & Fair Justice
Putting Public Safety First
The safety of the British people must be a national priority, not a political slogan. The United Vision Party believes in a criminal justice system that protects the innocent, deters wrongdoing, and rehabilitates where possible—while standing firmly with victims and the rule of law.
Stronger Policing, Safer Streets
We will restore proper law and order by investing in modern policing, streamlining justice, and rebuilding public trust. Britain must be a place where citizens feel secure, criminals face real consequences, and justice is swift and fair.
More Officers, Smarter Policing
We will recruit over 20,000 new police officers and reintroduce regular foot patrols, especially in areas suffering from crime and disorder. Local neighbourhood hubs will reconnect communities with policing. AI-driven analytics, drones, and predictive technologies will support officers in targeting criminal activity.
Ending the Cycle of Repeat Crime
Sentencing for repeat violent offenders will be tightened, with life sentences mandated for the most dangerous individuals. Parole conditions will be reviewed and strengthened. Transparency will be delivered through public sentencing registers and post-release monitoring technologies.
Tackling Youth Crime & Disorder
We will confront youth crime with dedicated strategies: fast-track youth courts, electronic monitoring, parenting programmes, and positive alternatives such as community sports, employment, and mentorship schemes.
Safe Streets, Strong Standards
Anti-social behaviour will be tackled head-on. Rapid penalties, bodycams for enforcement officers, community payback visibility, and 24/7 digital reporting tools will form a new national standard for local authorities.
Stopping Knife Crime & Gangs
The scourge of knife crime and gang activity will be addressed through expanded stop-and-search powers—with accountability via community review panels—alongside the establishment of anti-gang task forces in major cities. Preventative strategies will include national weapons amnesties and targeted funding for youth services.
Trusted, Transparent Policing
Policing reform will include broader arrest and surveillance powers for organised crime, full bodycam coverage, de-escalation and mental health training, and a specialist crisis response unit. Internal corruption will be eradicated through lifetime bans, audits, and strong whistleblower protections.
Less Paperwork, More Policing
To ease the burden on officers, we will invest in civilian administrators and digitise reporting systems. Rules of engagement will be simplified, and training updated to ensure fair, lawful enforcement with reduced bureaucracy.
Justice Without Delay
The court system will be modernised: mobile and night courts will relieve backlogs, and remote hearings and digital juror platforms will make justice more accessible. Legal aid will be extended and better publicised—particularly for housing, family, and immigration cases.
From Punishment to Progress
We will overhaul the prison system with modern facilities, education, therapy, and rehabilitation. Partnerships with employers will aid reintegration, and humane cell standards will be enforced. Drug offenders will receive mandatory rehab as part of their sentence.
Reform, Rehab, & Enforcement
Drug crime will be targeted through enforcement near schools and the decriminalisation of cannabis for personal use, supported by a licensed and regulated market. Addiction will be treated through mandatory rehabilitation and awareness campaigns in schools and prisons.
Justice That Puts Victims First
Victims will be placed at the centre of our justice system. A National Victim Support Service will ensure protection, anonymity, counselling, and influence in parole and sentencing outcomes. Shelters and hotlines will receive expanded funding.
Justice & Protection from Domestic Abuse
Specialised courts for domestic abuse will fast-track justice, restrict weapons access, and provide safe housing for victims. Relationship and consent education will begin in schools.
Fighting Crime in the Digital Age
Finally, online crime will be treated as seriously as offline crime. We will expand cybercrime units, increase penalties for online harassment and exploitation, and enforce social media ID verification.
