Farming & Animal Welfare
Sustainable & Ethical Farming
Britain’s agricultural and animal welfare policy must serve both the people and the land. We believe in a system that rewards ethical farming, promotes domestic food security, upholds world-leading animal welfare standards, and protects our countryside for future generations.
Growing Sustainably, Feeding Securely
We support transitioning to sustainable and regenerative farming methods through targeted subsidies for crop rotation, organic practices, and rewilding buffers. By investing in British farming technology and providing incentives for ‘Buy British’ campaigns, we aim to boost domestic food production and reduce dependency on vulnerable international supply chains.
Food Resilience for Britain
To ensure resilience in uncertain times, we will create strategic national food reserves and promote local supply chain networks to improve regional food security.
Support for the Countryside
We will offer tax relief, grants, and seed funding to young and family-run farmers to preserve our agricultural heritage.
Land for Farmers, Not Corporations
We support cooperative farming, shared logistics services, and fair land access to prevent corporate monopolisation of agricultural land.
Animal Welfare & Protection
The welfare of animals reflects the values of our society. We will raise minimum standards for animal rearing, ensure regular veterinary oversight, and introduce stricter regulations on the transportation of live animals. Our goal is to eliminate long-distance journeys and reduce animal stress across all stages of production.
Zero Tolerance for Animal Abuse
We will increase sentencing for those convicted of animal cruelty and abuse.
Affordable Care for Every Pet
Every pet in Britain deserves access to affordable care, which is why we propose subsidised veterinary costs and a reformed national insurance scheme to ensure no animal goes untreated due to financial barriers.
Recognising Animal Heroes
We also believe in honouring service animals. Police and military dogs will receive formal pensions and guaranteed high-quality care upon retirement, reflecting their loyalty and contributions to national security.
Food Waste & Labelling
We will criminalise unnecessary supermarket food waste by mandating edible food donation schemes, and introduce grants for redistribution networks.
Know What You Eat
Clearer labelling will ensure that consumers understand where their food comes from, under what conditions it was raised, and how best to store or use it to reduce household waste.
Protecting Nature, Using Land Wisely
Our approach to land use will strike a balance between food production and environmental conservation. We will empower local farmers to lead conservation planning, integrating agriculture with biodiversity goals through incentives and farmer-led environmental schemes.
